David Cundick graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah in 1981 where he received a B.S. degree in Sociology in addition to a Certificate of Criminology. He received his J.D. from Brigham Young University in 1984.
Upon completion of law school, Mr. Cundick worked as a general litigator representing mostly corporate clients including Maverik Country Stores, Inc. and Mast Construction. He has extensive litigation experience in many areas of law. He is a former Tooele County Deputy Attorney and was also a partner in the law firm of Parker, Freestone.
Mr. Cundick has extensive criminal experience both as a criminal prosecutor and defense attorney, and has litigated cases of aggravated murder, murder, rape, distribution and possession of controlled substances, kidnaping, and forcible sexual abuse.
Mr. Cundick has conducted many jury trials throughout his career as an attorney, including first degree murder, rape, aggravated assault, and white collar crimes involving hazardous waste, securities fraud, and tax evasion.
